CALAPAN CITY – An angry drunk man hacked to dead his 79-year old father and chopped into pieces the latter’s body beyond recognition during a heated argument in a drinking session in a remote village in Pinamalayan town in Oriental Mindoro last Friday morning.
The dismembered body of the victim, who was later identified as Claro M. Lalog, widower, was found by responding police in the former’s house in Sitio Molasong, Brgy. Pambisang Malaki, said municipality.
According to the report of Police Supt. Jonathan P. Paguio, chief of Pinamalayan municipal police station, to P/Senior Supt. Anthony Alcañeces, provincial director of Philippine National Police (PNP) in Oriental Mindoro, Claro was a having a drinking session with his son, Gary, 31, at about10:20 AM of April 29, when their discussion turned into a heated argument.
Neighbors stated that moments later, they heard Claro crying for help, but they failed to rescue the victim as the suspect already axed and hacked his hapless father.
Colonel Alcañeces explained to some newsmen that the body of the victim could no longer be recognized because of so many hacked wounds in different parts of its body.
