Retired teacher, companion, brutally killed in Romblon
CALAPAN CITY – A retired public school teacher and his companion-relative were found brutally murdered inside their house in Alcantara, Romblon province, reports reaching the MIMAROPA Regional Police Office Friday (Oct. 8 ) afternoon.
The victims were identified by their relatives as Josefa Minano, a retired school teacher in Romblon; and Sofronia Bersaba, single, jobless. They were both living in the house in Alcantara were their dead bodies were found.
According to the report of Romblon Provincial Police Office (PPO), the crime was discovered inside a room of Minano at about 11:45 AM of October 8, after relatives of the victims who first went the said house reported their discovery to the local police.
The lifeless bodies of the two victims were found both lying in a bed owned by the teacher, and their heads were both bashed purportedly as a result of hard objects smashed on them probably by one or two suspects.
The dead bodies were already subjected to autopsy autopsied and further investigation is still being conducted as of presstime.(By JUANCHO R. MAHUSAY)
