Young Mindoreña, one of RP’s 5 ‘model youth’

CALAPAN CITY – A young Mindoreña has been chosen as one this year’s five “outstanding grand winners” of the recently concluded Pambansang Gawad sa Ulirang Kabataan for her invaluable achievement as a youth and student leader.

Bianca Nerizza A. Infantado, a 16-year old high school graduate of Jose J. Leido Jr. Memorial National High School (LEMNAHIS) in this city who represented Region 4B (MIMAROPA Region), won the top five of the said annual achievement award sponsored by the Department of Education (DepEd).

For winning the top five youth role models nationwide, judges of the said award considered Infantado’s maintenance of outstanding scholastic records during her stay in LEMNAHIS, the biggest public high school in Oriental Mindoro province and the whole Mindoro Island.

Infantado, the award statement’s said, “… exhibited her diligence, enthusiasm and perseverance in attaining the assigned tasks…” being the president of Supreme Student Government, the student governing body of LEMNAHIS.

She also earlier copped this year’s Development-Oriented Youth (DOY) award for leadership category in this city, Gintong Kabataan Award of the Oriental Mindoro provincial government, and the national level’s Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme Award.

The young Infantado’s proud parents, Bowie and Nancy both stated that “(Bianca’s) commitment and total involvement to the different school activities, trainings, seminars and workshops on different fields and guilds, enriched and augmented her true character being a leader both at home, in school and in the community.”
